Hi this is Sharon Fung, Manager of the North Bay North Stars. We had the pleasure of a game with your A team on Saturday at the tournament and we really enjoyed playing your group. It was a fun, clean and competitive game with our two A teams and you have a very nice group.
One of the coaches handed us a card at the end of the game and I have misplaced it so hope that I have the correct e-mail address. It would be great to get our two teams together again some time in the future.
I am attaching a link to a picture and article in our local press which features your team in the photo.
Hope you enjoyed the tournament as much as we did.

Marlborough, MA. - The North Bay North Stars Special Needs Hockey Team gathered at the New England Sports Centre in Marlborough, Massachusetts last week to join 1,000 kids and adults who have discovered they can do wonderful things despite having intellectual and developmental challenges. All are registered in special hockey and this past weekend marked the 17th annual Special Hockey International Tournament.
This year's event was the biggest tournament to date and thanks to generous support from Ontario Northland and the community the team was able to travel by bus to attend the tournament. The four days included a tour of the city of Boston, four games per team, opening ceremonies, and a pizza party for 2,500 people.
In this tournament there are no advancements, no playoffs or gold medal games and in fact many players can't even recall the score of their games. Everyone is a winner in the end with all players receiving medals on the ice in a closing medal ceremony. The North Stars are the only team North of Barrie and were wonderful ambassadors for the city of North Bay demonstrating the utmost sportsmanship and fair play throughout the entire tournament.
"The whole special hockey experience is just so inspiring," said North Stars manager Sharon Fung.
"It is about participating in a sport, belonging to a team, meeting new friends and most of all celebrating ability and feeling part of a large and accepting family."
